Intermediate Pointed Pen Calligraphy - Capitals, Flourishing
Please bring: Your own pen holder and nibs (if not purchasing the Optional Add-On materials). Worksheets and additional paper will be provided, but you may wish to also bring your own paper pad.
Description
Developed for those who wish to achieve a deeper understanding for the art of Pointed Pen Calligraphy, this class will walk you through the nuances of technique, capital letters and basic flourishing.
Flourishing and capital letters are two of the areas in which beginner and novice calligraphers struggle the most to understand and progress. Their initial confusion often leads to frustration and burnout. This four hour class breaks down those difficult concepts into more technical, easy to understand steps and general rules, enabling you to apply them in various situations to any combination of words, quotes and longer passages.
Class sizes are kept small and will be capped at 8 pax (or less) to ensure every student has sufficient time to have a personal consultation with the instructor.
Light refreshments are provided at the workshop.
*It is recommended that you have either attended any beginners pointed pen class prior to registration, or have been doing self study and have a basic understanding of the tools and writing concepts of pointed pen calligraphy.
The workshop price includes all Take-Home materials. Should you wish to purchase the Optional Materials set, please indicate your preference at checkout. You will be contacted directly via email regarding the purchase of the Optional Materials set.
